Experience this bizarre retelling of Washington Irving’s RIP VAN WINKLE set in downtown New York. Fleeing domestic strife, RIP seeks the wilderness play-land of 1980’s East Village.

A good deed takes him into the Pyramid Club, a famed 80s nightclub and the epicenter of an artistic community that sparked a cultural revolution. And then it really gets weird.

A mashup of myth, history and autobiography told in Nakas’ trademark “iambic funtameter” style, RIP is a meditation on life, aging and collective memory. Featuring Jesse Kegan on keyboard and percussion. Music by Jesse Kegan and Andrew Taylor.
